Wind River Cellars will have wines available for tasting and purchase as well as special discounts on remaining "Charles Hooper Family Wines", available in limited quantities. The event will take place from 2-6pm, Saturday afternoon, May 9th! We hope to see you there! Limited "Hooper Wines" still remain, order yours before they're all gone! 1995 Dry Gewutztraminer, 1995 Chardonnay, 1996 Merlot, 1996 Lemberger, 1996 White Riesling, 1996 Gewurztraminer, Huckleberry-Apple BAD SEED HARD CIDER AVAILABLE IN APRIL Though the image and price will be much different from the flagship "Wind River Cellars" product line, the winery is excited for the release of its first hard cider. "Bad Seed Cider" will be released mid April and owner Kris Goodwillie is anticipating a very positive response from wine consumers of all levels. "There are several hard ciders out there now but the style we've created is much more similar to an easy drinking riesling", says Goodwillie. "With a slightly lower alcohol content than most wines, we feel that Bad Seed will open a whole new category for us. This will be a fun product to produce, sell and consume and the packaging will definitely be fun. QUARTERLY WINE CLUB Membership has it's advantages! "This event is our one day out of the year where we throw the best party we can" says entertainment coordinator Scott Woodbury, "With the mountain in the background and the fantastic summer weather, we have an ideal place for outdoor music." Woodbury expects seeral hundred people to attend the event and looks forward to watching the eent grow oer the next several years. Though the headlining band is still to be determined, the winery does promise a big name regional act. One thing is for sure though, The Beatles, Elvis and Spice Girls have been removed from consideration. Mark your calendars, Saturday, August 1st, 1998, 1-6pm at Wind River Cellars, in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. Tickets $5.00. BARREL SELECT MEMBERSHIP Own your own barrel at Wind River Cellars. Here's how it works: Only 15 barrels will be sold for the 1998 harest. The cost is $400.00. How Barrel Select Membership works: You purchase from Wind Rier Cellars an oak barrel, which will be numbered and will have your name plate on it. The $400.00 that you pay for the barrel goes on a credit account for you in our tasting room. As a member you receive your choice of wines produced by Wind River Cellars up to your $400.00 credit at a savings of 20%, offered only to "Barrel Select Members". Extras: In addition to receiving wines at a wholesale price, you will be invited to attend our annual "Barrel Tasting" dinner at the winery. All members will be at the dinner and will have the opportunity to taste from their barrel, as well as barrels belonging to other members! It's guaranteed to be a great event!
