Waterbrook Winery - Wines

The Wines: (Spring 1998)

Whites:

1995 Chardonnay:
Columbia Valley
Fourth consecutive listing in the Wine Spectator's top 50 worldwide great values, another in a long line of delicious and affordable Waterbrook Chardonnays.
Lush, ripe fruit flavors of apple, melon and pear, are framed inside a firm package of oak and natural, crisp acidity. An opulent and rich chardonnay.
`92, `93, `94, `95 Vintages were each listed in The Wine Spectator's 50 Great Value List and Best Buy.
`95 Vintage-"Best Buy. A winery founded by former farmers is helping to solidify Washington's reputation as a haven for bargains. A bright, lively and flavorful Chardonnay, with apple, pear and spice notes that linger on the nicely modulated finish. And it doesn't hurt the wallet delivering all that elegance, either." Rating of "86".

1995 Reserve Merlot:
COLUMBIA VALLEY
The much awaited encore of the 1992 Reserve Merlot's stellar performance is upon us. You will once again find the fruit, oak and strong backbone one requires from any reserve bottling.
A lovely mouthful of spice, brown sugar and toasty oak flavors round out and compliment the intense berry fruit core. Silky soft, yet full-bodied.

Received a Gold Medal with a score of "92" from the Beverage Testing Institute. The results will be in the May Wine Enthusiast Magazine.
