Open from 10am to 5pm, Saturday and Sunday, the wineries participating will be decorated to share the warmth of the season with their guests. Poinsettias, lights and ice luminaries will warm up barrel and tasting rooms. This annual festive event gives the public an opportunity to sample wine in barrel, meet the winemakers and get caught up in the spirit of the winery's new releases. In addition to barrel tasting and showcasing new releases, many of the wineries will have special events planned such as art shows, cooking and spinning demonstrations, music and a wine dinner. There will also be opportunities for visitors to donate food, blankets, hats and children's mittens for local charities. A holiday celebration wouldn't be complete without food: Artisan breads baked from native grape yeasts, pate, gourmet lamb haggis, and Moroccan lamb stew are some of the unique dishes being sampled by some wineries. Individual wineries can be contacted directly for detailed information about events scheduled at their locations.
