[email newsletter from Hinzerling Winery -- rcvd 18-Sep-98] ---------------------- September 18, 1998 1998 is shaping up to what looks like a very good to excellent harvest- in both quantity and quite possibly in quality (don't believe anybody that doesn't have wine in the tank, if they say it's going to be a "great vintage".) Weather permitting, it's raining as we speak, we're about a week away from crush- Pinot noir from Harold Pleasant, followed by Lemberger, Semillon, Cab S. in fairly rapid succession and much later Riesling from Hugh and Kathy Shiels vineyard. So far everything is right on or a little bit ahead of schedule and sugars, acids, pH and all that other technical stuff about where they should be. We still have a few spots open for our Harvest Party on October 3. If you're interested, or just curious, take a look at http://www.hinzerling.com/Harvest_Party.htm for more information If you haven't had a chance to look at our web page- check out http://www.hinzerling.com - if you can, give us your thoughts on the design and content of our site (or even just tell us you looked at it) and we'll enter you in a free drawing for some balsamic vinegar and a bunch of other goodies- drawing is Oct. 1. bon appetit Mike Wallace, winemaker ----------------------
