E. B. Foote Winery

The Wines: (Summer 1999)

Whites:

1998 Gewurztraminer:
Winemaker says: Floral in character with a delicate, firm structure. A rich texture with bright acidity. Try with spicy foods such as Thai, Chinese or Indian. (Refrigeration may cause tartrate crystals to form. This is a natural occurance and does not effect the wine.)
Varietal: Gewurztraminer; Appellation: Columbia Valley; Vineyards: Crystal Pheasant; Brix at harvest: 20; Bottled: 13-Apr-1999; Released: 23-Apr-1999; TA: 0.88 g/100ml, pH: 3.14, Alc., 11.3%; RS: 0.16%; Harvest: 16-Oct-1998; Cases produced: 56.

1998 Pinot Gris:
Winemaker says: Firm and lean, with crisp, lively acidity. Pleasant and fruity showing some nice buttery notes. A dry, straightforward white that will accompany fish beautifully. (Refrigeration may cause tartrate crystals to form. This is a natural occurance and does not effect the wine.)
Varietal: Pinot Gris; Appellation: Columbia Valley; Vineyards: Crystal Pheasant; Brix at harvest: 21; Bottled: 14-Apr-1999; Released: 29-Apr-1999; TA: 0.88 g/100ml, pH: 3.05, Alc., 12.7%; RS: 0.16%; Harvest: 16-Oct-1998; Cases produced: 110.
