[rcvd Jun-2000] Hi, Friends - We're late with our mailing this year but there are still five months before winter really sets in, so we hope you'll come over and visit us and the other Yakima Valley Wineries before 2000 slips away. Actually we've seen quite a few of you already, but you are always welcome back. We bottled our latest wines on May 18, plus a 1998 Cabernet we kept on oak an extra year. In addition to our second Orange Muscat, we've made a "Rose Franc" from the Cabernet Franc grape, Delicious! "Ambrosia" is a dessert wine finish of the Muscat Canelli grape. And of course we have Cabernet, a port-style Cab, Chardonnay, Semillon, Gewurztraminer and Muscat Canelli. We'll release most of them by the Labor Day weekend. Arlene's garlic garden has ceased to exist, but we're still cooking with garlic and offering our soups, dips, and recipes on the weekends. During that very special "Thanksgiving In The Wine Country" weekend, all participating wineries have food and recipes. Our garlic mailing list is still active - we plan to get some recipes out to you over this next winter. We look forward to seeing you sometime soon. If you receive two mailings, please share with a friend. Cheers! Ed + JoAnn Stear Gary + Arlene Rogers P.S. During the seaon our open hours are 10am-5pm, and our winter hours are 12 noon to 4pm (or by appointment or sheer luck). If the closed sign is up, there is a good reason, and we hope you'll stop back by! [price list omitted] [copy of YVWGA Events page omitted -- see http://yakimavalleywine.com/]
