Eaton Hill Winery, Winter 1997 Notes from Gary the winemaker: We invite you to visit us and enjoy Arlene's kitchen specialties on weekends throughout the season. They complement our wines so nicely and Arlene and Lydia share recipes and cooking tips. In our gift shop we feature handcrafted jewelry by Ann Bialos; festive bags for wine and jewelry, aprons, and other items handmade by Arlene and Lydia; beautiful wooden humidors and jewelry boxes handbuilt by North Fork Woodworks; oils and acrylics painted by Ed Stear; wine implements; collectibles and old books - you never know what you'll find. August is our Garlic Month - Arlene and I have thoughts of luscious garlic plants thriving this year, a delicious italian garlic. Last year we proudly produced the Centennial Wine for Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois (Ed's Alma Mater) - a Chardonnay and a Cabernet Sauvignon. We're planning special events for our case buyers later this year, and soon we'll be ready to host your group meeting. Interested in the possibility? Talk to us when you are in, or call 504-854-2220. The Rinehold Cannery Homestead Farm House makes a lovely setting. There is plenty of parking - for R.V.'s, too. Bicyclists are welcome.
