Phillip Wagner ran a Boordy winery in Maryland. He also mentions Boordy Winery in his wonderful book "Grapes Into Wine". Apparently he was the consulting winemaker for, and sold rights to the name to, Seneca Corp. who started the winery here in WA State. The winemaker was Andy Tudor. Andy died about 1975, at which time the operation shut down.
They made a red table wine and a white table wine from french hybrid grapes instead of emphasizing vinifera which has since been proven to grow quite well in the Prosser area. The sales manager was Peter Dow.
Andy Tudor ?-1975?
